We’ve seen a lot of fruits in our world. Fruits, that vary in size, shape, color, taste, region, weather, soil, and what not. Fruits get to us from markets, where they come from the orchards, and where the farmer plants the seeds or saplings, to grow them as trees or shrubs.
And, when the best season arrives, the fruits are harvested. They’re carefully tested for moles and rot, and are cherrypicked for the best in the quality, owing to their freshness.
And when the fruits are bought and eaten, the seeds that come forth are cast away into bins. Or, some gardener plants them in his backyard. In any possible way, when the seeds are buried in the ground, they germinate into saplings. And when watered and taken care, they grow into trees or shrubs, which bear the same fruit again in the perfect condition and in the right season.
This is a process of germination to harvest, and back to germination. And each time, there’s a clone of the same fruit during the harvest, only to differ in quality. The quality depends very much on how the entire process was taken care of. A single variable may lead to a completely unexpected outcome. Thus, the outcome might vary in taste, smell, health and what not.
But still, the farmer aims to give us almost a carbon copy of what we had a few days before. And, thus, we do expect that the current version of the same fruit we had an year ago, should taste the same. Though there are varying degrees of acceptance of which sensory taste bud might be active while munching the fruit. But still, we somehow create a criteria of this acceptance of how does a fruit taste.
This criteria, can be used to form a derivative. I’m not taking any example of what fruit contains what criteria for whom, since, I will be using the criteria to form a derivative. The derivative of a fruit as a thought. How will be that received, I don’t know. But, the mimesis of a fruit may cause no harm, isn’t it?
The act of mimesis isn’t a new one at all. Everyone, who has ever lived in this world, has done this act in uncountable ways and for uncountable reasons. So, what’s the crime in the act of mimesis for a fruit, and further exploring its properties? And, further to create a world of possibilities and infinite probabilities?
